Hyosung and Uiwang City had the groundbreaking ceremony of the ‘Urabn Development Project at the Baekwoon Knowledge Culture Valley’ on 26th with Hyosung’s Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon, Head of Construction PU Kim Dong-woo, Uiwang Mayer, Kim Seong-je and Vice Governor of Gyeonggi-do Lee Jae-yul attending, and construction began in full scale.
As a dream project of Uiwang City, the ‘Urabn Development Project at the Baekwoon Knowledge Culture Valley’ is a large scale project to construct a residential complex of 4,080 housings, a large shopping mall, schools, offices and knowledge cultural facilities on the 290 thousand pyung (954,979㎡) land located at the rear side of Baekwoon Lake (the area of 560, Hakui-dong). In this project, Hyosung takes charge of constructing 2,480 apartments (condominiums), and plans to complete reserved sale at the end of this year and construction in 2019.
Baekwoon Knowledge Culture Valley is attracting interest as a nature-friendly residential complex because it has 20.1% ratio of park & green surrounded by Baekwoon Lake together with Mt. Baekwoon and Mt. Morak. The area also has accessibility to Seoul as it is possible to go to Gangnam in 15 minutes by using the Uiwang~Gwacheon Express Way and Seoul-Busan Express Way.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon said, “Hyosung is accomplishing a lot of outcome recently, constructing large scale residential complexes in Changwon, Ulsan, Yongin and Pyungtaek under the brand of Hyosung Harrington Place,” and “we will provide environment-friendly residential facilities and do our best to make the masterwork city Uiwang.”
On the other hand, Hyosung obtained the 647.9 billion won construction order of the urban environment arrangement program for district 4 near the Yongsan International Building, in December of 2015, and is obtaining a series of orders in 2016, too. Hyosung’s construction sector accomplished 813.6 billion won order record as of May and is anticipated to easily accomplish the 2016 goal of obtaining 1 trillion 600 billion won order record.
